Sarah Saunders is vulnerable. She should be happy and fulfilled in her life and marriage, but something is missing. Like Dorothy before she gets to Oz, Sarah’s life seems to lack the color it deserves, except when she is journaling and allowing herself to escape into her fantasy life. It then becomes as vibrant as the roses she nurtures. Every time she slips into one of these fantasies, she is able to see how her life could be as opposed to the sepia toned version she actually leads. “The beauty of a rose is that it can bring you pleasure or pain and as you grow older you will learn to appreciate them both. I embrace myself and become one with my inner child now, a woman.” ~ Sarah Saunders
